A Fancy Word for Simple

I wanted a perfect ending. . . Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity.

-Gilda Radner

Today is filled with “delicious ambiguity” as all of 2007 sits in the future. How do you approach a new year? What are your hopes, dreams, and plans for the year? What do you want to leave behind about last year?

At "A Fancy Word for Simple" this was today's quote. I have always loved the idea "nothing is consistant but change". This reminds me of today's quote about the future. I can plan, make resolutions, decide something....but in the end, some things (a lot of things) are out of my control. Life, to me, is more about my responses to the things that take place. It really is my choice how I react to things. More than anything, I want to be positive in the year 2007, responding to the things the way God would want me to. Looking for the good in all situations is how I try to live my life....not always easy....but worth the effort. I'm hoping to work thru the "not feeling like doing something" and doing it anyway. The "feeling like it" will come if I make the effort.

I'm approaching this year with the same attitude.
